The Jasad Heir by Sara Hashem
An Egyptian-inspired fantasy about a fugitive queen hiding outlawed magic, and the bargain she strikes with her greatest enemy. Properly slow burn, political, sharp. The duology is complete now that The Jasad Crown is out, and it has been sitting at the top of dark romantasy rankings all month. Binge both back to back.
